Vibe coding questions, answered

The questions people search for most, with honest answers and links to the full guides.

What is vibe coding?
Vibe coding is describing what you want to build in plain English and letting AI tools like Cursor, Claude Code, Lovable, or Bolt write the code for you. The term was popularized as AI coding assistants became fluent enough to ship working software without writing most of the syntax yourself.
Is vibe coding actually coding?
Yes and no. You are still building real software with real production code, real bugs, and real deploy pipelines. What changes is the unit of work: instead of writing functions line-by-line you describe behavior and review what AI generates. Architecture, debugging, security, and deployment still need a human in the loop.
What is the best vibe coding tool in 2026?
It depends on what you are building. Lovable and Bolt are the fastest path from idea to deployed web app. Cursor and Claude Code give you more control once you outgrow the no-code ceiling. Boris Cherny, the creator of Claude Code, has said 100 percent of his own code is written by Claude Code, which gives you a sense of how far the agentic CLI tools have come.
How do I start vibe coding with no programming experience?
Pick one tool (Lovable is the gentlest start), describe a small concrete project like a landing page or a one-screen app, and ship it the same day. The fastest learning loop is build-break-fix, not tutorials.
Why does my vibe-coded app stop working after a few features?
That is the 70% wall. AI tools can spin up a working prototype in minutes, but adding the next feature often breaks the previous one because nothing in the system enforces architectural consistency. The fix is small commits, defensive prompts, and one-feature-at-a-time discipline.
